White Rim Trail Canyonlands National Park

Rockies Drought – The snow pack in the Southern Rockies is only at 55%. This is of course better than the 24% we had at the beginning of February but still lacking. Bad news for the Colorado River which is where this snow melt goes and then into Lake Mead or Powell from which much of the American Southwest relies on for irrigation and drinking water. Of course the good news is that the mountain passes will probably be open by early July. Last year the passes were closed until early August. Stream crossings will probably be passable on a motorcycle by mid July.

Discover Canyon Country – This introductory ride into the amazing Utah Canyon Country has sold out.

New addition to the fleet –  I recently purchased a 2016 F800GS with 4700 miles. This bike is spoken for on the Discovering Canyon Country Tour but if anyone has a special desire to ride this bike let me know. Of course riders are encouraged to try different bikes so hopefully you can ride both a Triumph Explorer 800 and the BMW F800 GS.

Exploring Canyon Country  – June tour has 6 spaces available while the October tour only has 2 spaces available.  My one rider for the June tour rides a 1937 Vincent almost every weekend on Roman roads and green lanes. Should be fun company so come join us!

Southern Rockies Tour – this beautiful tour of the southern Rocky Mountains is all booked up. However you can read about it in the November issue of Adventure Bike Rider.

Mountains and Canyons – August Ride has 5 spaces available, September ride has 6 spaces open

I only do one custom tour a year and this year it will be 10 Aussies on a early season tour of some of the classic Rocky Mountain roads such as Independence Pass and the Million Dollar Highway. We will then head over to the Canyon Country to do some exploring.

New ride for 2019! – I rode the Pony Express Trail last summer and based on customer feedback am going to offer this ride in 2019. You can view pictures on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/106westadv/ or follow my blog for a more thorough ride report. Please let me know early if you are interested in this tour as I expect it to book up fast.

Please let me know if you have any questions and remember tour deposits are only $1000 USD.
